SPORTS IS AN EXCELLENT UNITING FACTOR

Pic: Sipho Ngomane race to win Comrade
LET ME Begin by saying that sport is the game that can definitely unite people regardless of their race, ethnic diversity, religions and nations.
Looking back at the way in which we were united during the lead up to the 2010 FIFA World Cup tournament one can really attest to that.
Even during the Premier Soccer League matches it is very clear that the game really transforms the nation. So imagine if South Africa can be afforded the opportunity to host the Olympic Games in anytime soon. How would we be as a nation as well as the vibrant continent that breams a lot of talented sportsmen and women?
Anyway, let me announce what made me to write this piece today. The true point is that as from next week I will be bringing you the weekly sports digest. HOSTING THE OLYMPIC GAMES COULD IMPROVE SA's IMAGE IN SPORT

Pic: The Olympic Games ring symbol
THE FACT that one of the country’s beautiful cities, Durban is intending to bid to host the 2020 Olympic Games is one of the good things for South Africa.
It's also very impressive and excellent considering the  future of the sports in the country. Looking at the way our athletes performed in the Beijing Olympics back in 2008, it was really miserable.
The team only managed to grab a mere one bronze and nothing else came on our side. If ever one of the cities in the country has a wish to host the games we have to be united and support the city.
Actually, this shouldn’t be based on politics or anything of some sort but it should be for the benefit of our country in the sporting fraternity. In that sense, this should be a stance that we must collectively support as it is one of the good aspects that will economically boost the city as well as the country in general and even our continent at large.
It will also improve our country’s image regarding to the sporting codes as we still have a huge gap to fill in the sports fraternity in terms of building a better reputation.
Yes, we are passionate about the games but our passion is nothing if we don't achieve the best. Thumb up to Durban for taking a brave standpoint of wishing to host the Olympic Games such is a very wonderful gesture to make sure that as a country we know our techniques in the sporting cycle. However, I would personally wish that the South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee starts right now to prepare a better team for the 2012 London Olympics.
Let’s rally behind any city in the country that is showing an interest to host the games. This is also an advantage to our athletes. Performing well at home is better than failing away. Let's spread the the good words about our cities in any public platforms instead of unkind remarks of the infrastructures and whatever things. The Weekly Sports Digest is there for you. Keep reading and engaging me with any of your views about the beautiful games.

THE SPORTS GURUS WITH THE POLITICAL DYNAMITE LIVE IN PARLIAMENT, CAPE TOWN

Pic: Left; Tshamano Makhadi, Sipho Dzimba and Pule Lechesa
 JUST ON POINT
This is the image (left) was captured in front of the parliament in the Mother city at Cape Town.

THE BEAUTIFUL PICTURE:
The former etv sports reporter, Tshamano "Coach" Makhadi with the sports guru, Sipho "Da Cool Guy" Dzimba and the most prolific journalist and politician, Pule "Portash" Lechesa during their trip to The Mother City of Cape Town early this year in May. Who can forget that fun filled moment? I was really excited when I first heard that we will be going down to the Mother City. It is a norm that when a person goes to the place that they never been to they turn to have their own expectations about the place.
I remember telling my parents, siblings, friends and some of the people who are close to me that we will be going to the city that I have never seen in person instead of viewing it on television or Internet. So many messages of best wishes filled my email's, Facebook inbox, Twitter and even my phone's sms.
Even though, the trip to that place takes all most more than 18 hours when you are using a bus, I wasn't bored as I was among the entertainers in the bus.By the way we were there through a vacation for the course that I enjoy doing the most.
Our beloved institution offered us that moment in a life time to go there. Reaching the beautiful city of Cape Town and also going to Robben Island was one of my life time's great experience. It is funny, but I do wish to share this with you.
Me and one of my friend, we didn't even hesitate to go to the sea while the rain was pouring and we even wanted to touch the water as there is a saying that when you touch the sea waters you are getting ride of your bad lucks.
Exactly, there are so many things that happened there that will never slip away from my lifetime memories.

Okay right!!
I think its time to talk about the beautiful game and other relevant staff in the Mother land of South Africa.
"So let me blow the whistle"
Here we go!

In fact, what I really witnessed in the city of Cape Town is that the youth there is also passionate about the beautiful game that is soccer. As a person who doesn't like to stay in one place when I am in a particular community. I enjoyed to move around with an intention of knowing that place and also knowing the lifestyle of the people of that region.
There are so many youngsters there and majority of the people that I met in that place are passionate about life and also not forgetting that they are affluent as well. It is true with the love of football, I even gave myself an opportunity to go to Green Point stadium which was not far away from where we were residing.
The progress of the stadium is really astounding contrary to what I thought it would be. Some of the youngsters were playing soccer as well on the side of the construction as there are some open spaces there.
In fact there are so many things I can say, but let me leave it here as I know that I can even spend perhaps more than five hours elaborating more things.
Quite frankly, I wont forget our visit to the parliament and also an encouraging chart that I had with some of the South African top politicians and journalists. The most fanny thing was when we ask questions there as some of us were shy we turned to hide our shying colours by making some unreasonable jokes and even asking some controversial but also inspiring question, its a joke as some of my buddies will kill me after reading this column.
Anyway our dynamic politician Pule Lechesa earned himself a nickname after some off the record events that unfolded there. When I remember it very clear he was nicknamed Portash and since from then we are calling him either by his previous nickname or the one that he was given in Cape.
Last but not least a vote of thanks of encouragement also goes to our Mr Tshamano "Coach" Makhadi for always being with us.
I remember I spoke to him about the progress of the Green Point stadium. He also showed me one of the spot where he was standing when he cover a certain story in parliament the most interesting thing about it is that he was a hidden also a nice place of covering the story of that magnitude.
Hence, I said that I've got to leave it as it is I think there are so many words to say, but anyway...Thank you!

ITS TIME TO FOR SSA COMMISSION TO SHOW THE NATION THE VEDICT

THOSE WHO had an opportunity to watch the Beijing Olympics might have witnessed that our brothers and sisters who partook on the swimming department dismally failed to even get one medal in all the tracks that they were involved to. It was by no surprise when the Swimming South Africa management appointed a commission of inquiry as it seems like every participant in swimming department had something to say about the final results.
However, A commission of inquiry was appointed by Swimming South Africa in order to report what might have destined to a poor result of the swimmers. Indeed the commission is expected to report back to the SSA executive next month. Basically, they are supposed to report their findings. The inquiry followed a disappointing and controversial campaign at the Beijing Olympics.
The South African swimmers failed to win a single medal in China, while several top swimmers criticised the national coaching staff and others within Swimming South Africa.
Quite frankly, this country's sports is full of misdemeanours scams that also destine our youngsters to vehemently state what their feeling are with regard to any kind of disappointment. To show that the mother body of the country's sports is characterised by the money mongers or to put it in a good way there are more corrupt people in every management, why didn't they accompany the paralympians as well.
In my analysis, it seems like they wanted to get shares on the money of the able bodied instead of that of the Paralympians as it is evident that they might be getting less money.
Never the less, we are only waiting for the verdict to be read by the commission of inquiry that the SSA appointed to get information about the real reasons that made their swimmers dismally fail. From me Sipho Dzimba is to say lets stand together and champion the interest of the sports lovers.

DAVID BECKHAM KNOWS WHAT HE WANTS

IT IS indeed making an interesting news headlines in some of the South African and world media powerhouses that the current LA Galaxy player is to go back to Europe to ply his trade there. David Beckham is one of the ever produced best player in the football fraternity, but with this utterances I don't mean to undermine the presence of the Maradona's, Pele's, amongst the best players that have ever blessed our beloved soccer fraternity with their abundance of tricky skills.
As AC Milan have confirmed that England midfielder David Beckham will join the club, on loan, from the 7th of January it is still under question on whether Beckham will perhaps end-up being playing in European football again. The 33-year-old's representatives held talks with the Italian giants on Thursday (30th of October 2008), and quickly reached agreement on the terms of the deal. according to my analysis of the football perspective, I think Beckham really know what he want in life.
At first after finding out that he really play very well in the Premier Soccer League he decided to join one of the European soccer giants which is known by the name of Real Madrid.
He played there with passion even though he couldn't wait for a moment the the Galaxy team offer him a convincing contract to play in their field. It is in fact believed that Beckham, who currently plays for US side LA Galaxy, wants to stay fit during the. MLS close-season, and is set to return to the US in March, when the new season starts.
What does it mean by that, it simply means that he is so passionate about his duty as it is to mesmerize soccer lover and the spectators in general. It is by choice to do what this English guy is trying to do and the only fundamental things that he will reap is to be fit and also perform very well.

THE SPORTS GURU ROCKS SDFM 89.4 DURING HIS SPORTS SLOT

THE SPORTS guru rocks the air waves of SD FM 89.4 at the Injebovhu Avenue down there in the City of Kildare exactly in Mpumalanga Province. With the love of sports, Sipho "axi dyi nkaka" Dzimba is the darling of the sports lovers in ekaMalamule which is situated in Kildare not far from the small breezy town of Hazyview.
Dzimba axidyi nkaka xo to dyela manga yin'we xi ku ga hi xikosi that's the statement which mesmerize the loyal listeners of the Ultimate Sports Programme at SD FM 89.4 when Sipho hit the air waves.
Sipho use the programme to interview many well known soccer stars and other sports personalities. It was not unbelievable when they nominate him as a best sports producers and presenters in the station.
The man works hard every weekday to make it a point that he become one of the best sports presenters in the country. He doesn't compromise his love of the the game by doing something unfruitful to him except to jungle on the side of sports.
He is of course striving to be the best among the best. Tell me would you believe when I say that the boy has already natured his future in the sporting fraternity by making relationship with many high profile sports anchors around the globe.

SUNDOWNS FAILURE TO ATTEND PRESS MEETING

Sipho Dzimba
IT WAS with a great concern when the arguably most richest team in South Africa was fined a lot of money which to them is simply may be nothing to pay. Mamelodi Sundowns was fined R100 000.00 for failing to attend the press conference after being buttered out during the penalty shootouts by Kaizer Chiefs in the inauguration of MTN 8 Wafa Wafa competition.
There's an odious saying that 'a leader should lead by example' but on the night it was not like that as the Zimbabwean international Ezrom Nyandoro failed to show the loyal supporters of the team that he is capable of facing Chiefs finest young Itumeleng Khune. In fact, Nayandoro is the captain of this illustrious Downs team.
As the newly signed player in the Amakhosi camp Reneilwe Letsholonyane slashed the back of the net by sending Brian Baloyi to the wrong side, The team just started not to think even about the press conference that the sponsor of the competition have organised after losing on the penalties.
It was bit amazing to see Marks Maponyane keeps on asking Baloyi about his views of the game even though it seems like he wasn't prepared to comment on the game. By doing that it clearly showed that the entire team wasn't prepared for any press conference.
Thanks for Patrice Motsepe's money that he keeps on investing and even paying for the team when the trouble comes. What the team would have done if Motsepe wasn't the owner of the team?
Sundowns should start respecting the rules of the game and organiser, because they are obliged to follow the mandate of the league and it's associates.
Let hope they are no longer going to repeat waht they've done.
